About This Item
Wood Preserver ++ from Protek is designed for use on untreated timber to help protect against mould, wood destroying or discolouring fungi and wood boring insects. It works by penetrating into the layers of the wood and leaves an adhesive surface ready for applying paint or a waterproof top coat to protect the timber from the weather. This water based preservative should be applied by brush.
A highly effective Wood Preservative that is water-based with low VOCs and is odourless when dry.
It contains active ingredients effective against moulds, wood destroying and wood discolouring fungi as well as against wood boring insects.
It penetrates wood easily and thereby gets deep into inner layers.
It is moisture regulating and provides an adhesive surface for subsequent treatment with finishing paints or stains (top coat).
It is designed to be a wood primer and needs a weather resistant top-coat. Either water-based or oil-based top coats can be used. For best results use the following products from the Protek range:
